When Israel was in the wilderness

in a howling desert land

There was no water for the people to drink

So God sent Moses to smite the Rock

and water from the Rock came like a roaring river!

That Rock was Christ

Who God smote for us

His Death is our Victory

His Work is our Salvation

And from His side comes Blood and Water

Freedom from sin and the Power of the Spirit

The waters of Life still flow

And the River rolls on!

Now Christ and His Sacrifice

is the Rock on which we stand

And from this Rock the water of the Spirit flows

Let’s go to the Rock!

In the Rock there is victory

Overcoming power and strength

The Grace of God

And the ability to do whatever we need.

There’s nothing to fear for the Rock is here!
